Base int/m1-wave32 at 3e9983c, branch feat/M8-10-import-login-client in its own worktree; the branch is not merged locally and not pushed, the PR lane ports it. The rows stand in a section per ticket like the earlier tickets. The spec parts of main the brief builds on (08 6.4, the cli paragraph of 22 8, the rows login and logout of 22 10.1, rule 5 of 22 10.2 and the row of 02 3.3) come in their own commit first, in English inside the German chapters of the base; D-W-100, D-W-120 and D-W-124 are planning rulings on main and are not copied. The brief's {{DONE_PATH}} and local merge are not used. |
The task names the base, the lane and "bring exactly that change"; precedent D-M8-01-0. |

The API client is a separate generated package api/restclient from the whole docs/api/openapi.yaml (generate: {client: true, models: true}, skip-prune, no embedded spec, oapi-codegen v2.8.0 of go.mod). oapi-codegen writes 6.8 MB; api/restclient/gen cuts it at top-level declarations into restclient.gen.go and restclient_02.gen.go to restclient_07.gen.go, each below repo.max_file_kb, with the splitting code shared with api/routes/gen in api/internal/gosplit. oapi-codegen generated every part of the spec. |
api/rest holds only the enabled operations and cannot serve as a client of all operations (brief note 1); one file would fail check-added-large-files (precedent INT-W14/4, INT-W17/4). |

Session file: JSON {version: 1, server_url, device_id, user_id, dpop_private_jwk, access_token, access_expires_at, refresh_token, refresh_expires_at} at <os.UserConfigDir()>/bothy/import-session.json or --session-file; mode 0600 in a directory with mode 0700, created so; a file or directory with any group or other permission bit, or a file that is not regular (a symbolic link), is refused (ErrInsecureSessionFile). On Windows the mode check is skipped (the file lives in the user profile). Atomic store through a temporary file, fsync, rename and fsync of the directory. access_expires_at is the client's clock plus expires_in. |
Brief note 2, requirement 14; the tool knows no server key and trusts only the stored expiry and a 401. |

Lock: every refresh takes the exclusive advisory lock of <file>.lock (flock, LockFileEx through kernel32 with the standard library on Windows), blocks until it holds it, reads the file again and uses tokens another process already rotated; logout holds the lock across logout and the deletion and keeps the lock file. A session in the file with another device (a new login) ends the old client with ErrSessionRevoked. |
08 7.4: a reuse would revoke the session; a lock file that survives keeps waiters on one inode (brief note 5). |

Server URL: an origin (https, or http only for 127.0.0.0/8, ::1, localhost), at most a path /, no query, fragment or user info. The egress client has exactly one rule, the server host and port with allow_private, and RedirectNever; a 3xx ends the call with ErrRedirect. |
Requirement 15: the owner names the host, which may be private; allow_private would also allow http, so the URL check limits it to loopback first. |

New tool key import.login_poll_interval (default 5s) in 22 19 and the configuration reference; import.http_timeout also bounds each call to Bothy, and egress.max_response_bytes bounds its answers. DefaultLimits holds the defaults until M8-04 loads the tool configuration; bothy import login has no --config until then. |
Brief scope "Change"; the loader is M8-04's (brief "Out of scope"). |

Default device name bothy import on <host name>, bothy import without a host name or when the name fails the display text rule; it is not cut, because the server has no device name limit (device.New checks only the display text rule). |
Brief note 5 asks for a cut to the device name limit; none exists on the base. |

The DPoP key of the tool is Ed25519 (alg EdDSA), stored as an RFC 8037 private JWK; proofs carry a random 128-bit jti. |
08 7.3 allows ES256 and EdDSA; the standard library signs Ed25519 deterministically without a curve choice. |

tools/archgen lets the component cmd depend on api (.go-arch-lint.yml regenerated). The transport goes into the generated client as restclient.DoerFunc(t.RoundTrip), a function value of the hand-written type api/restclient/doer.go, because the deep scan of go-arch-lint counts a value of a cmd type handed into api as a dependency of api on cmd (precedent M1-34/12); it sends over egress.Client.Do, so no http.Client or transport is built outside platform/egress (bothy-go-egress-only). .golangci.yml excludes bodyclose and noctx for the generated client files: the client returns every response to its caller and sets the context with req.WithContext. POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE outside /api/v1/auth/ carry one UUIDv7 Idempotency-Key per call when the caller set none; the server ignores the header on operations that do not declare it. |
The tool talks to the server only through the generated client (brief requirement 17); the rule set had no edge from cmd to api. |

Exit codes of bothy import login and logout: 2 for an invalid URL, an existing session for the server, no session, a revoked session and an invalid or exposed session file; 1 for an expired, rejected or interrupted pairing and for network and server errors. logout without a session is 2 with the login hint. |
22 10.3 and brief note 2 ("missing file means not logged in, exit 2"). |

Port to main: the ticket's own commit onto main after M1-72, without the spec port of its base (main has the chapters) and without the integration fix INT-W34/1 (it joins the split helpers of M6-01, which is not on main). The documents take the ticket's additions in the English chapters of main; api/restclient and .go-arch-lint.yml are generated again from the trees of main. The Semgrep rule bothy-go-egress-only skips services/server/api/restclient/: with the contract of main the last part of the client falls below Semgrep's default file size limit, so the rule now sees oapi-codegen's fallback &http.Client{}, which runs only when no client is passed; the import tool always passes its egress transport. The Sonar gate of the pull request needed two more things: the go call of the client generator carries the NOSONAR note of M1-17/33 like the route generator, and tests of the error paths of the generator and of the session file raise the coverage of the new code above the threshold. |
Only the ticket's own change lands; generated files follow the contract of main. |
